Black Friday/Cyber Monday, the Essential Survival Guide! (Part 2)

Hello again, OPAS members!

Today, we’re going to continue our discussion on the best way to prepare for the coming sales of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Specifically, we’ll discuss the policies OPAS will have in place for Cyber Monday, as we’ll be closed for Black Friday and that weekend (there’s no reason you can’t keep shopping at that point, though!) Here are some tips on how you can best take advantage of our services:

  • Use your OPAS Deposit! If you’re planning on using OPAS as your personal shopper for Cyber Monday, be sure to fill up your OPAS Deposit beforehand! You don’t want to miss out on these time-sensitive deals, so if you send us a pre-payment with PayPal (to service@opas.com), wire transfer or Western Union (details available, just ask), we’ll be able to draw directly from that to make purchases for you. Be sure to reference your OPAS account number in any payments you make! It’s better to pre-pay than to wait for us to send you a PayPal invoice, because we can’t make Personal Shopper purchases until we receive your payment! Don’t let PayPal Delay cause you to miss a deal! Be sure to include the amounts required for any transaction fees, as well as our Personal Shopper service fees in your prepayment. Any leftovers will be applied as a credit to your shipping charges when we send your items to you, so don’t worry about overshooting the mark!
  • Use your OPAS Personal Shopper! Even with all the above tips, some of the merchants offering the strongest deals (Wal-Mart, Target, Best Buy, etc.) are so strict with their Black List control that the only method to make purchases with them may be through OPAS’ Personal Shopper service. If you elect to do this, we highly recommend prepayment into your OPAS Deposit, as detailed above, but also that you keep the following in mind: OPAS will be closed on Thanksgiving Thursday (Nov. 28th), Black Friday (29th), as well as the Saturday and Sunday of the weekend.
  • We will be back in the office bright and early at 9:00 AM on Cyber Monday (December 2nd) morning, ready to process your Personal Shopper requests. You’ll want to check our clock function on our website, so you’ll know what time it is in Portland, and when we’ll be processing and when we’ll be in the office for you to communicate with us about any questions. Remember, our office hours are 9 AM-5:30 PM Pacific time. You’ll want to submit your request as soon as possible, as we will process requests in the order they are received. As we noted, you’ll want to make use of the OPAS Deposit feature to make sure OPAS will have the necessary funds to pay for your purchases and service fees upfront!

We can’t overstate the importance of acting early! You don’t want to be rushing to get approval for your OPAS account, your US Unlocked Card, or for your OPAS Deposit payments, and you don’t want the limited time offer of these deals to prevent you from accessing them.
